About the incident:
On June 21, 2024, four people were killed and 11 others injured in a mass shooting at the Mad Butcher supermarket in Fordyce, Arkansas, United States. The perpetrator, 44-year-old Travis Eugene Posey of neighboring New Edinburg, was injured during a shootout with police before being taken into custody. On August 4, 2025, Posey was sentenced to four life sentences plus 220 years without parole.
