Two children, a 14-year-old boy and his 8-year-old sister, died after being run over by a garbage compactor truck. The victims were identified as José Davy Rocha Alecrim, 14 years old, and Maria Isis, 8 years old. They were on a bicycle when the truck, which provides services to the city hall, was making a right turn and ended up colliding with the children. The vehicle's rear tire ran over them, and they died at the scene. Teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) were called, but could only confirm the deaths. The truck driver left the scene immediately after the accident, claiming fear of reprisals from the population. The cleaning crew that worked with him remained to provide explanations.
