The best way to stop a pit bull attack is to grab the dog into a choke hold and choke him out. Works all the time. If you're a woman who might not be strong enough to choke the dog, you can use a water hose with running water and drown the dog by running water up its nose. I've seen both of these methods done successfully without really harming the animal.
