The victim was identified by the nickname "Tubarão" (Shark). According to information circulating about the case, the man was allegedly killed by criminals linked to the Comando Vermelho (CV) during an attack on Friday afternoon (30). The action is believed to be related to the dispute between the two factions for control of the communities in the region. The remains were left in an access area to the complex. The choice of the gift box is interpreted as a form of provocation and intimidation to the TCP's rivals. The Costa Barros region, where the Pedreira Complex is located, is a frequent scene of clashes between criminal groups. To date, the full circumstances of "Tubarão's" death, the identification of those responsible, and the exact dynamics of how the box was left at the scene have not yet been officially clarified by the authorities. The Civil Police and the Military Police have not commented on whether a formal record of the case exists or on the progress of the investigations.
