The accident happened around 3:40 pm and the bus driver fled the scene. The tire came loose from the vehicle and hit the side of the motorcycle, knocking down mother and daughter. Adriana died at the scene. Andresa was rescued in serious condition and taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Assú, but did not survive her injuries. The bus involved in the accident was used to transport workers to rural areas. According to the Civil Police, the vehicle was in poor condition. The Scientific Police were called to carry out an investigation. The victims were mourned on Tuesday (31) at Sítio Linda Flor, the community where they lived, and buried in the late afternoon at the local public cemetery.
